Job Title: Assistant Facilities Manager

Position Type: 9-Month Position
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Starting Pay: $17.50 per hour

Position Overview:

The Tri-Valley School District is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual to serve as an Assistant Facilities Manager. This role supports the Facilities Manager in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional learning environment across all district buildings.

The Assistant Facilities Manager will be trained in and ultimately responsible for mastery of our Eagle CMMS work order program, ensuring that all facility-related requests are handled efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills and will be comfortable interacting with custodial staff, district personnel, and administrators.


Key Responsibilities:
  • CMMS System Management:

    • Become proficient in the Eagle CMMS work order program through training and ongoing use.

    • Delegate tasks based on incoming work orders to appropriate custodial or maintenance staff.

    • Follow up with individuals who submit work orders to provide updates on request status and resolution.

    • Custodial Oversight:

      • Assist with daily custodial assignment planning and implementation.

      • Provide daily support and oversight to custodial staff in coordination with the Facilities Manager.

      • Contribute to custodial personnel decisions by providing input and recommendations.

      • Facility Operations Support:

        • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to address major facility needs and concerns across the district.

        • Assist in identifying facility issues and developing solutions to improve building operations.

        • Planning & Documentation:

          • Develop and implement end-of-year maintenance checklists in collaboration with staff.

          • Document and manage school inventory related to facility and custodial supplies and equipment.


            Minimum Qualifications:
            • High school diploma or equivalent required.

            • Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, or custodial services preferred.

            • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

            • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage multiple priorities.

            • Proficient computer skills; ability to learn and manage CMMS software (Eagle CMMS).

            • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

            • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of staff and departments.


              Work Environment:
              • This is an on-site position based in the Tri-Valley School District.

              • Some physical work may be required, including walking throughout school facilities and light lifting.
